RAGGIES' ON BOTH NORTHERNS AND SOUTHERNS ... AND MORE ON PROTEA BANKS TODAY, WITH MIGGIE GETTING HIS BUOY LINE STOLEN BY A SHARK!!!
25 May 2016 | PROTEA BANKS
Current: mild, reverse
Sea Temp: 22 degrees Celsius
DIVE 1 - Northern Pinnacle: Nice chilled dive. The current was reverse but we got to see loads of Ragged-tooth sharks on the bottom. Coming into mid water we had 3 sightings of Bull (Zambezi) sharks. Really chilled.
DIVE 2 - Southern Pinnacle: Southerns was mad today. As we got to the bottom we could barely see each other for all the fish - Kingfish, Rainbow Runners, Jobfish, Amberjacks and more. The reef was covered with Ragged-tooth sharks, with an Oceanic Blacktip shark circling above. MIGGIE ... got his buoy line stolen by a Ragged-tooth shark lol ... see footage thanks Iain Leighton. Mid water was nuts with Zambezi (Bull) and Oceanic Blacktip sharks darting in and out. WHAT AN EPIC ACTION PACKED DIVE, FROM BEGINNING TO END!!!!
